Love at first (market) sight. Inspired by Kensington Market, Toronto.
What happens when 2 people see each other from a distance and are left speechless and breathless? In this story, they remain perfectly still, while musical thoughts and hopeful possibilities spiral around them. An intense journey of curious love can only be portrayed through a musical journey of equal intensity.
lyrics
I'd never seen so many colours on one sweater.
In a market for used things, a red guitar without the strings,
a woven dress made in Beijing,
nobody here the better.
As the sky pours and wettens our shoes,
our eyes they meet, intentions fuse.
I see now why I have come.
Doesn't matter where you're from,
or how long it took for us to meet.
Now I'm only grounded by my feet.
This moment lasts a hundred years,
yet we're unmoving.
Who of us will dare to speak,
meet a stranger on the street?
Rushing reds across your face,
an overwhelming sense of place...
As the sky pours and wettens our shoes,
our eyes they meet, intentions fuse.
I see now why I have come.
Doesn't matter where you're from,
or how long it took for us to meet.
Now I'm only grounded by my feet.
(Ah)
The truth is, I knew all at once,
that this was no coincidence.
What led me here to interlock
with your stranger eyes?
(stranger eyes)
(Ah)
As the sky pours and wettens our shoes,
our eyes they meet, intentions fuse.
I see now why I have come.
Doesn't matter where you're from,
or how long it took for us to meet.
Now I'm only grounded by my feet.

It's a great blend of different metal genres and styles, with great solos in basically every song, just that touch of oriental influences that feel natural but not artificial and above all else, performed by the beautiful, haunting voice of Jelena Dobric, who uses it in a way that is not the typical operatic approach as we are used to from other female-fronted bands wormys_queue

Nice, extremely catchy symphonic metal album with very good rhythm-work, beautiful singing and well-thought-out orchestral and choir pieces to accompany it. Definitely worth to give a listen. tobiwest
